Seat of the patriarchate edit

So it was the seat of the patriarchate till 1587, according to the article. Whither did the seat move after that? Rwflammang (talk) 15:04, 25 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

After 1587 the patriarchate moved to the church called Theotokos Palation (later known as Vlach Sarayi) in Fener: then in 1600 it occupied a convent of nuns at the Petrion (the fortified part of Fener), and finally a new church, St. George, also in Fener, was built.
