There should be some reference in this article to the Kimmswick Bone Bed aka Mastodon State Historic Site https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mastodon_State_Historic_Site https://mostateparks.com/page/54983/historic-site-history . Among other things, it was the location where it was proved that the Clovis Culture hunted Mastodons.
