Vietnamese people eat this skunkvine, which is called La mo long, with dogmeat, as fresh flavor or as an ingredient in the stuffed filling of dog sausage ( doi cho). For the South Vietnamese, this herb is called la thui dit, which literally means the leaves of fart smelling.
