COI editing edit

I noticed that excluding copyediting and maintenance edits, the substance of the article as of this writing was contributed pretty much entirely by editors with no contributions to other articles. Some of these editors have indicated their conflict of interest; they are now listed as connected contributors at the top of this talk page. Another has had their edits reverted for blatantly promotional language; one more cannot be outed and is left as an exercise for the curious (reminder: no WP:OUTING!). Considering that all these edits were made many years ago (including some predating the development of formal COI guidelines) and the users have not been active since, I see no need to pursue the issue at this time by reporting them or applying page protection. Adding the COI edit notice tag at the top of this page for additional vigilance should suffice.

Tagged the article with {{COI}} to solicit further checks / editing passes to ensure NPOV. I can't take care of it right now but will come back to it later if someone else hasn't already done it by then. — 2406:3003:2077:1E60:C998:20C6:8CCF:5730 (talk) 05:20, 13 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
