Discussion

edit

Sure would like to see some historical data on the old "PACAF Special Security Flight" (aka The PACAF Honor Guard) which performed rifle drill on at least one of the old Bob Hope Christmas Specials, and which provided security for Presidential visits to Hickam, and for other visiting dignitaries such as the Shah of Iran, and Ferdinand Marcos of the Phillipines. 167.206.169.66 (talk) 15:03, 19 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

"Responsibility"

edit

Deleted the line: "( in United States' government terms - the countries in this area would mostly dispute any USA 'responsibility' in respect of their particular areas)". As far as the national interests and international commitments of the United States go in this region of the world, the Pacific and Indian Oceans are, indisputably within PACAF's "area of responsibility," and I'm not sure which "countries in this area" dispute that. 61.34.55.133 00:57, 31 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Adding the unreferenced templates

edit

I have added the unreferenced template to a number of sections in this article . For such a large detailed article it needs inline citations. I note in the reference section it says "This article includes content from ..." Please see the articles Western Allied invasion of Germany and the Operation Matterhorn to see how the text that comes from a public domain work of the United States Government can be cited. --Philip Baird Shearer (talk) 17:53, 18 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Now that citations have been added :-) there is another problem :-( Any books that are cited need page numbers to be included in the in-line citations. --Philip Baird Shearer (talk) 13:47, 19 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yeha I had already done this and seperated the DCOM entry to read as DCOM - USAF / DCOM - RAAF but was changed by someone else
This is a major change and I feel the entry as I had this needs to be reinstated to show the significance Hawkeyebasil (talk) 12:43, 18 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
