I'm not sure how to edit the PPD page to include information about its acquisition, as of 3rd October 2011, by the Carlyle Group and Hellman & Friedman (http://investor.ppdi.com/releasedetail.cfm?ReleaseID=610217). Its new owners are taking PPD private.
