Talk:PKCS 1

Please don't use the IEEE notation

edit

The current article describes the PKCS#1 schemes in terms of the artificially complicated notation used in the IEEE P1363 standard. The abbreviations and concepts used such as RSAES-OAEP are artifacts of the structure of that document and are generally not readable by humans (including those of us deeply familiar with the topic).

I am aware that this notation has subsequently been copied back into the current version of the PKCS#1 document, however I still consider it as an unnaturally complicated way to explain things.

I would suggest the article is rewritten/edited without these artificial complications, in order to make it more approachable by a larger audience.2001:16D8:DD73:F0:250:56FF:FE00:5A (talk) 18:16, 22 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

The reference link "Barnard, Levi..." is obviously broken and I don't know where it should lead. --KommX (talk) 19:54, 10 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
