PHL (disambiguation)PHLPHL now is a redirect to Philadelphia International Airport, but incoming links Special:WhatLinksHere/PHL don't show close connection with the airport. MrKeefeJohn (talk) 08:07, 15 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

  • Comment: until a couple of minutes ago there was no hatnote on Philadelphia International Airport to redirect readers looking for any other PHL. Please, people, remember to add hatnotes to help our readers to navigate. PamD 07:41, 16 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Ohh so that explains why it doesn't even appear in WikiNav. --Joy (talk) 16:45, 16 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • Adding hatnotes is apparently a controversial form of editing, several times I've seen them deleted or rejected (such as an edit request) and requires some sort of massive consensus seeking discussion (after rejection or deletion). -- 64.229.90.172 (talk) 07:50, 21 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • Move: It's difficult to believe that one US airport is really the primary topic for a trio of letters which has so many other meanings around the world. PamD 07:41, 16 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Further: there may well be a group of people for whom "PHL" is an everyday term as in "I'll be flying in to PHL tomorrow". But how many people will actually come to an encyclopedia to find out more information about the airport, from its code, compared with those who come to look for other meanings? PamD 07:44, 16 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • Support. No primary topic here. -- Necrothesp (talk) 12:17, 16 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • Without clickstream data we have to determine usage by even more reading of the leaves :) but the basic mass views of all items at PHL already indicate a decent spread of meanings. It's doubtful that the average English reader associates this acronym so strongly with the airport that it meets the standard of WP:PTOPIC. --Joy (talk) 16:45, 16 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • Support per nom -- 64.229.90.172 (talk) 07:50, 21 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
