"As of 2010, Tauatomo Mairau has been recognized as the heir to the throne and bears the title Prince Marau of Tahiti.[1] He is working to have royal trust lands returned to him and his family. The French government mortgaged the land after World War II, and in doing so violated the terms of the agreement signed with Pomare V in 1880 that reserved control of the trust lands for the royal family of Tahiti. The banks may be in the process of freezing the assets, and Mairau is suing to prevent native Tahitians from being evicted from his trust lands, and wishes for them to retain their usage rights over the land.[2]"

I removed this paragraph because it said he was "recognized as the heir to the throne" without stating by whom or how if there are so many claimants. It seems to give support to his claim, same should be said for his article, but I don't know how to fix that without deleting all together.

Teriinavahoroa

edit

Sources differ on if Teriinavahoroa was Pomare's son or daughter.--KAVEBEAR (talk) 00:07, 19 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Huahine and Maiao

edit

HistoricallyAccurate Stop adding content which you don’t understand. None of the individual on List of monarchs of Huahine are members of the Pomare dynasty. Pomare IV did want to put her son Teriitaria (future Pomare V since he was a second son until his older brother’s death) on the throne there after her stepmother Teriitaria II but this was foiled by the rebellion by Ari'imate. All kings and queens of Huahine were scion of the Tamatoa and Teururai dynasty. KAVEBEAR (talk) 18:49, 26 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
