Title

I'm not sure "Chicken Oyster" is the appropriate title for this concept. All fowl have oysters. Anatomically speaking, so do many other phylum, though not commonly referred to as such. Verdatum 08:57, 12 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

I agree. I'm going to move the page to "Oyster (fowl)". --TreyHarris (talk) 12:53, 16 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Verdatum: your use of the word 'phylum' is wrong in at least two ways.

the photo is terrible. anyone have a better illustration? 75.72.162.157 (talk) 03:17, 20 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

If the word "oyster" is the translation of "sot-l'y-laisse" in French (the French page links to this page), then there is an error in the definition : the "sot-l'y-laisse" is a part hidden by a bone just above the rump (the French name means literally "the fool leaves it" as this very tender part is a bit hidden, and can be easy to miss if you don't know it exists). So either the linkage is wrong, or the English definition is. The French page also explains that it is a common mistake to think that the "sot-l'y-laisse" is that part between the legs and the wings. Since I'm not sure where the mistake comes from (wrong definition or wrong linkage,I'll let someone better informed correct it. Balance

edit

Why is the section on Red Dragon larger than the rest of the article? Surely there can be some history of cooking stuff to balance out the text. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.157.174.184 (talk) 16:13, 23 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
