- Overton is a town, albeit small and rural. It had market and borough rights, for one thing, and was a contributory borough to Flintshire. E. Davies (place names of Flintshire) describes it as a "town and parish in Maelor Saesneg". There was a market hall and market until the late 19th century. Svejk74 (talk) 11:09, 5 January 2018 (UTC)
