Is megaxenops a genus? Currently it is a redirect to Xenops which makes to reference to the genus. I know nothing about this but it's left me utterly confused.
As discussed in several pages below the subfamily covering Xenops and true Treecreepers doesn't exist as is claimed .
I appreciate this not be simple a simple family but at the very least when a link is selected the user should be presented with information covering the section that was clicked. I.e. if you click on a subfamily the article covers only that subfamily, if a tribe is selected only that tribe is covered and so on.

The 2004/2005 papers AGREE that the Xenopini are not subspecifically distinct from WOODcreepers! Treecreepers are an entirely distinct group of birds. Maybe the new 2006 study doesn't, which I will put here shortly; it should resolve a lot of what is unresolved. Dysmorodrepanis 00:59, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

According to current knowledge, it exists exactly as given here, with a xenops and a true woodcreeper tribe. Megaxenops might belong to the former but its affiliations seem not to have been verified; it is fairly distinct and might belong to a different subfamily altogether.
- The issue that Dendrocolaptinae redirects to Woodcreeper which is not correct needs to be resolved. See also my merge request. Dysmorodrepanis 01:09, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
