Stolen Boat edit

The boat they stole was a Formula boat, not a cigarette boat Caitlyn51 (talk) 09:12, 4 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Dirty cop - who said spoilers? edit

Actually my edit had nothing to do with spoilers - it had to do with the content of the show where unless I missed something, it was not clear the deputy was a dirty cop. The sheriff was compromised, but not clear even she was dirty, on the take - but I didn't see anyting about the deputy. I don't really care about this - but don't characterize an edit as one thing when it was something else. Not about spoilers. Meanwhile, I would like to see summaries for the episodes not yet summarized. Tvoz/talk 03:06, 29 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Deputy Shoupe took the money and stole evidences. — YoungForever(talk) 03:35, 29 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
AH, yes now I remember the money from the motel room safe - that was a very small point that I had forgotten. Seems to be overkill anyway to characterize him as being a dirty cop, as I don't think that became anything more plotwise, but ok. Tvoz/talk 05:37, 29 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

I think you should put the characters full names. It's not enough. 47.151.27.25 (talk) 21:05, 17 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Not done: We go by how they are credited on the on-screen credits or by common name with reliable sources, per MOS:TVCAST. Mentioned surnames here and there are not going to cut it. — YoungForever(talk) 21:16, 17 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Spelling error in the description for episode 9. In the last sentence, "their" is spelled as "there". 2601:14A:C100:F7B0:3DA5:555:8D2A:6EE2 (talk) 20:15, 7 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

ADD following section after Synopsis / Cast but before Episode list:

Similarities to William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet

Beneath the main plot structure of a treasure hunt, Outer Banks shows plot structures and particular characters which can be compared to William Shakespeare's classic play 'Romeo and Juliet'.

1. The two gang structure of the Pogues and the Kooks is very similar to Shakespeare's Montagues and Capulets, although in Romeo and Juliet, both the Montagues and Capulets are powerful aristocratic families. 2. Sarah's father in Outer Banks, Ward Cameron seems to be based on the character of Capulet, Juliet's father in R&J. 3. The gun-wielding Pogue and close friend of John B., JJ Maybank seems to be based on the character of Mercutio, Romeo's witty friend who takes offence at slights from Tybalt and fights him to defend Romeo's honour after Romeo refuses to fight a duel. 4. Sarah's boyfriend Topper in Outer Banks appears to be based on the character of Tybalt, the Capulet who makes death threats against Romeo, and is ultimately killed by him after he kills Mercutio.

It should be noted, however that Romeo and Juliet makes no mention of shipwrecks, ROV's or buried gold. Edwardjames.oneill (talk) 02:13, 5 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Kook and Pogue terms edit

I removed the hyperlinks for the terms Kook and Progue from the synopsis area of the article. Neither of the hyperlinked pages were in anyway relevant to the characters or their groups on the show. The term "Kook" hyperlinked to an article about surfers. None of the "Kooks" on the show fit what was described in the hyperlink there. Pogues linked to the military term Pogue; which refers to a rear echelon person, or "Person Other than Grunt (POG)." None of the Pogues in the series are in the military, so linking them to the military term pogues doesn't make sense. BatmanManchesterUnitedFan (talk) 06:03, 6 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

I agree with you but I feel like there can still be a way to define Kooks and Pogues. Jujusut (talk) 02:04, 24 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Season 3 Episode 10 edit

I noticed that the summary for this was excessively long. Jujusut (talk) 19:29, 23 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
