Edits for a behavioral ecology course

I will be adding new sections to this page for a behavioral ecology course. They include editing the lead section, the table of contents, geographic range and habitat, life cycle, food resources, physiology, mating, and human interactions. I have not deleted the existing information, I have just rearranged and added to it so that it is more comprehensive and organized.

Review for a behavioral ecology course

Many sections of this article have no citations. They should either be reviewed and cited or removed from the article. Also, the section labeled Biology restates information from other sections of the article. It seems to be a little repetitive. Overall, I would suggest going back and adding citations. Also, I would reword the biology section or remove parts that are already stated in the article.

Review for Behavioral Ecology 2

Hello all! First off, great job on the article. I think it represents a good summary of the moth. However, I do think the life cycle section can be a little more complete. There could be a pupa section could be added before the adult section and can be filled out. This would help the completeness of the article as a whole. I also think instead of having a parasites section, you could have an enemies section and talk about other predators like birds and lizards.

Additionally, the last sentences of some of the sections seemed to lack sources. I think you put the sources for the information in the sentence before but I would put them after the last sentence so as to cite all the information in the section. Additionally I switched the order of the Flight and Antenna sections as per the butterfly main page ordering. I moved the food resources section back above the life cycle section as well for the same reason. Finally, I moved the mating section above the Physiology section and the Parasites section above the mating section once again due to the butterfly main page ordering.

I also added a diapause section to the article's life history section and cited it.

Review of the Article for Class

This Wiki page was well written. I added a few hyperlinks for “downy mildew,” “Job’s tears,” “glycerol,” “tachinid,” “brachonid,” “ichneumon,” “entomopathogenic fungi,” “swordtail characins,” “water mites,” “Ostrinia furnacalis (unfortunately creating this hyperlink made the name bold and I could not figure out how to make it stop doing that even after trying several different methods),” and “Bt cotton.” I created hyperlinks for these terms because they were not terms that would be common knowledge and I thought it would be useful for people to be able to look them up easily. The term sensory trapping was used in the Mimicry section of the article but it was not defined. Since the term is not common knowledge I found a definition in a scientific article and inserted it into the butterfly article.
