I don't think any construction has taken place. The project may have been cancelled. I have been unable to find any information about this bridge and have posted a request at WikiProject Turkey requesting assistance. -- Samuel Wantman 22:12, 15 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Suspension bridge for Izmit Bay edit

this article (on 11.10.2006) says that French are interested in this project. however, here in Kocaeli, Turkey, nothing is clear about the project. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 212.98.201.1 (talk) 12:42, 23 March 2007 (UTC).Reply

Incorrect information on proposed route edit

The "Map with proposed route" link should be removed, as the planned route lies about 5 km eastward between Diliskelesi and Hersek Burnu, not between Darıca and Çiftlikköy. 78.176.231.170 (talk) 21:21, 10 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Plan image source edit

Can anybody source the following image so that we might use it?

That is an old design. I don't think the new bridge design has cable stays: [1] -- SamuelWantman 07:18, 12 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Official name edit

Based upon the sources i've found, including the Official Turkish Presidential website, the name of the bridge is Osmangazi Bridge, a single word. Not two. Time for a name change. FriarTuck1981 (talk) 06:21, 18 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
