Difference between English and German Wikipedia edit

the German version of Wikipedia translates Osakeyhtiö with "Aktiengesellschaft" which is different from "Limited Company" or GmbH. Is the english or German version correct ? --192.35.17.10 13:31, 14 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

The difference between an OYJ (public limited company) and OY (private) is that OYJ is subject to some extra regulation, and only the shares of OYJ may be traded in a public stock exchange; trading the shares of a private limited company in a stock exchange is a crime. However, an OY may become OYJ (and vice versa), if it fills the requirements set in Osakeyhtiölaki, and majority of shares so decide. --Ztn (talk) 09:46, 8 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
