Did You Know
A fact from this article appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the "Did you know?" column on March 19, 2011.
The text of the entry was: Did you know ... that Glee's newest album includes two original songs that appear in the Glee episode "Original Song"?

The start

edit

In the introductionary paragraph of the article, it states that Glee covers solely 'popular songs'. I happen to disagree, Glee has done its share of old forgotten songs and broadway songs that were though 'famous', but not 'popular'. I think it should be changed.--Kanavb (talk) 08:44, 15 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

I think the first part of the sentence could be argued. "My Headband" was performed several episodes prior. Yves (talk) 16:54, 15 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
I forgot about that when I amended the sentence, but you're quite right, it is inaccurate. Frickative 00:08, 17 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Sue Sylvester punching out the Lieutenant Governor's wife

edit

I had added specific mention of the Lieutenant Governor's wife to this incident because it seemed to me that as Sue had, unprovoked, attacked and injured the Second Lady of the state of Ohio in front of a thousand witnesses, there was going to be a huge scandal that would affect things going forward. In a normal world (okay, this is Glee), Sue would be arrested, fingerprinted, and lucky to make bail, with a crusading District Attorney -- or the Ohio Attorney General -- ready to throw the book at her for daring to strike an important politician's wife. Sue's losing it, and noting just who it was she clocked seems important to me to emphasize just how out of control she is.

It's been removed; I think it would be worth restoring. Thoughts?

You make a valid point. I've restored mention to the lieutenant governor's wife. Note, however, that the plot is starting to become too long and minor details may be subject to trimming according to Wikipedia:How to write a plot summary. Thanks for your attention to detail though! Jusses2 (talk) 18:11, 20 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Controversy

edit

Are there any better sources for this than a fansite linking to a fan petition? Frickative 16:16, 20 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

There are several sources and interviews of Victoria Jackson and her crew disapproving of the scene. DAP388 22:59, 23 April 2011
The entire section was about the censorship in the Philippines, though. The Jackson stuff caused such a furore it's probably worth a mention, but not an entire subsection. Frickative 23:03, 23 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
