release form edit

User:Best username yet removed the information and the source about "Orientation" requiring a release form be signed before viewing. His edit summary stated that he's seen it at the Tottenham Court Road org without signing anything, but his own personal experience is Original Research and not something we can alter an article on the basis of. The cited source states you must sign the form to see the film. It's true that the Church's form speaks of the film in the past tense, which I admit is peculiar, but nevertheless, it's generally accepted that in most orgs, they make you sign the form before you see the film. It doesn't make sense to save it for afterwards, because many people get bored and walk out halfway through it, and there's no incentive for anyone to sign it afterwards anyway. wikipediatrix 16:12, 21 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

The source says it's only applicable to one branch of Scientology as I understand it Best username yet 05:24, 22 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Explanation of tag edit

I have added the {{refimprove}} tag to this article. This article needs better sources than (A) The Church of Scientology itself, which is a self-referential, primary source, and (B) IMDB, a better source than IMDB would be a good independent secondary source, though for the moment IMDB is okay. I'm not saying remove these, I'm saying more/better sources should be added. Cirt (talk) 03:17, 22 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Good source to be used for this article edit

Schliebs, Mark (January 22, 2008). "Scientology induction video back online". NEWS.com.au. News Limited. Retrieved 2008-01-22. {{cite news}}: Check date values in: |date= (help); Cite has empty unknown parameter: |coauthors= (help)

Name of this page edit

Is there any particular reason why this page is named "Orientation (film)" instead of something more descriptive like "Orientation film (Scientology)" or its actual name, "Orientation: A Scientology Information Film"? Spidern (talk) 03:44, 2 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Done. Moved to Orientation: A Scientology Information Film, the actual name of the film itself. Cirt (talk) 05:16, 2 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

New version edit

There is supposedly a newer version of this film with the old version, which this article is about, now obsolete. I haven't found anything in a general search so far. Laval (talk) 22:39, 27 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
