Copyvio? edit

The page seems to borrow very heavily from http://www.denmarkemb.org/chivalry.html . It does not look like the usual copyvio, though. So I thought I would ask on the page first. Do we have permission to use this text? It is marked as © Copyright 2002 Royal Danish Embassy and GlobeScope, Inc..

The text mentioned above is now located at http://www.ambwashington.um.dk/en/menu/InformationaboutDenmark/Culture/DanishNationalSymbols/The+Danish+Orders+of+Chivalry/ . If I still don't get any responses, I am afraid we need to remove the text. It is a shame, since quite a few people seems to have made an effort to improve it. Is it appropriate to list a non-Dane before any Danes as Grand Commander? I understand his seniority, but it is a Danish order.--The reverend 01:43, 16 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Make list of First Order class edit

Does someone know how to make a category for, First Order class Grand Cross and Commander 1st Degree.

Then make a list like the List of Grand Commanders of the Dannebrog. (Ice Explorer (talk) 13:51, 16 November 2009 (UTC))Reply

Move page edit

This site should be moved to Order of Dannebrog. Order of the Dannebrog is wrong.. If the current name is to be correct the order should be called dannebrogensorder in Danish.. Skibden (talk) 21:28, 18 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

No, it shouldn't be moved. The English language does use an article in "Order of the Danish flag", i.e. Order of the Dannebrog. Also, per WP:English Wikipedia uses the most common English name for subjects in page naming, so even if the most popular English term was "Dannebrogensorder" which is obviously wrong in Danish we'd still use it. diplomatic use edit

is this a de facto or de jure use of the order? Is it a written rule? how strictly is it followed? 98.206.155.53 (talk) 19:48, 28 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Dannebrog flag edit

I may have missed it, but it seems not once in this article is it stated that "Dannebrog" is the Danish national flag, and not once is Flag of Denmark wikilinked (e.g. as a pipe from Dannebrog). Not sure where to do it, but it should be done!-- (talk) 12:02, 1 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
