why can you write the rules of optimist dinghy?

This page sounds like an advertisment for Optis. I've sailed them, and trust me, they're certainily not unsinkable. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.187.130.105 (talk) 21:30, 14 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Optis are as unsinkable as any boat can possibly be. If they are "real" Optis, according to Class rules they MUST have a 1/2" foam laminated into the entire bottom, so they will not sink even without airbags. So the above is not true. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.243.97.193 (talk) 15:19, 23 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Removed the advertising copy and a whole bunch of stuff that's inherently unverifiable. Tagged most of the other questionable statements. Asuffield (talk) 00:38, 22 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

My Optimist pram experience is in two plywood boats with Clark Mills builder plates in them. They were wood. Swamped, they did not sink. Did you lose your bailing can? If you did, it could take a while to get this boat dry. Ccalvin (talk) 00:32, 7 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have a 4 year old Opti that I love to sail and I think it is a great boat! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.121.231.43 (talk) 21:38, 6 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
