edit

Handbook of Northwestern Plants by Helen M. Gilkey and La Rea J. Dennis, Revised edition (copyright 2001), mentions Northern Adder's-tongue on page 19. It says Ophioglossum pusillum Raf.: Sterile blade usually solitary, simple, entire, oblanceolate to ovate, 2.5-10 cm. long and 1-4 cm. wide, fertile portion 1-4 cm. long with 10-30 pair of sporangia. Found in wet ground, bogs, meadows and wooded areas; uncommon. Permalearning (talk) 06:27, 31 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
