Colt or Browning? edit

Schofield and Nesbit refer to Colt and Browning machine-guns; are they synonymous or different guns? Keith-264 (talk) 09:43, 1 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Norway did have the Colt MG38, a variant of the Browning M1917 for foreign sales. But it could be that Colt is referring to the 1917 Browning in general and Browning is the M1919 or thr M2 heavy. GraemeLeggett (talk) 21:33, 16 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
I think so too. Keith-264 (talk) 22:23, 16 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Title edit

Cautionary note: Much of the narrative has been gleaned from divers sources and it seems that some of them, like Roskill treat the supply runs as Gearbox operations. Schofield and Nesbit use the terms to describe the successive Norwegian occupation forces so the terminology may be open to question. I've been looking for books and interweb sources but not found that much apart from a few PhDs. Regards Keith-264 (talk) 09:18, 3 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Lede lacking edit

The first sentence, at worst first paragraph should tell us what the point of the operation was. GraemeLeggett (talk) 12:29, 16 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for taking the trouble. Regards Keith-264 (talk) 09:13, 17 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
