MUD/TON, 4 highest ... what is "standard"?

Hmm. I'd swear that "top of nothing", even if regarded conservative, remains the most popular. I play (modified) MUD myself, but I doubt it's the most common method worldwide. Duja► 15:54, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

I also added a note about honorless long suits; I doubt it's common to lead low, esp. against suit contracts. I'm open to persuasion on that, though. (Sources...) Duja► 16:00, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

How weird I wrote querying that same point but you beat me to it .... I agree. However I still prefer (as does Klinger) MUD for 3 card suits unless you have documented (eg reasons for believing TON is more standard?Abtract 16:07, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

ACBL convention card has the "TON" as the default, and you have to specially indicate if you lead MUD or low. Not really a reliable proof, but I think it shows what's the "standard" in the US. I'm not American-centric, of course, but they do constitute a pretty large portion of worldwide portion. I'm not sure about Europe-wide. Duja► 16:33, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

We don't lead MUD from partner's suit; if I had supported it, I'd lead the top (denying the honor), otherwise, low (denying the doubleton). Duja► 16:33, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
