President Bush picture
editThe picture of President Bush claims that the pitch was from opening day, but that is an incorrect claim. The picture is actually from the Nationals' home opener, which occurred several days after Opening Day. Dextrosity (talk) 17:31, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
This year's opening day date
editThis page should totally have the date of opening day for the current (and if announced, upcoming) season. --Colin Barrett (talk) 05:25, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
MLB Opening Day Schedual
editI'm interested in how the time of day is determined for Opening Day i.e. the Detroit Tigers started opening season today (5/4/2012) at 1:09. Usually they start the afternoon game at 1:05. The year following a World Series win I thought the Tigers had the first season opening game. So how is the open day time set for Opening Day MBL wide?76.64.76.194 (talk) 23:45, 5 April 2012 (UTC)John Warren
Definition
editI'm not sure that the definition of "the day on which professional baseball leagues begin their regular season." is entirely correct. By this strict definition, MLB Opening Day 2013 would consist solely of Texas Rangers v Houston Astros. I thought that Opening Day encompassed the first game or home game of every team, even if these were spread over more than one day. --Jameboy (talk) 18:55, 30 March 2013 (UTC)
Opening Day 2016
editIs it worth mentioning/clarifying that this year there will be three games on Sunday, April 3 before the traditional opening day slate on Monday, April 4?Pistongrinder (talk) 17:22, 24 March 2016 (UTC)
Findlay Market Opening Day Parade
editThere is a whole site devoted to the parade, with photos a listings of each parade going back to 1998. 74.215.106.179 (talk) 19:59, 3 December 2023 (UTC)
