Removing General American
I added General American to this page. This is the vowel that I use for the short u. Although I am from around New York, I technically speak with a General American accent. However, there are specific features of a New York accent that I have. For example, I do not have the father-bother merger. And I do not front the traditionally backed vowels. However, then I read on the "General American" page that, in most areas of the country, the /ʌ/ class is typically fronted. However, as it isn't in New York English, it is probably wisest that I change that entry to "New York English."

- No, you didn't. You replaced it with "New York English", which is not acceptable because the General American entry was sourced. Reverted.
