To whom it may concern:
I have created this page after running into problems with my edits on the ontogeny page. This way my contribution does not bite any other article. I hope people will add to this stub.

Clarify?

edit

I do not understand what this means, (my emphasis): "Ontogenesis in a psychoanalytical context is the development of the whole organism, viewed from the light of occurrences during the life, not in the last place in the pre-history of early childhood, which has become unconscious". Is this very poorly translated from the German that Freud wrote in? Either way this needs to be clarified, as the meaning is currently very opaque! Does it mean that when an individual has been influenced strongly in early childhood by an animal and an unconscious association has formed, that failing any other explanation, the analyst should examine the phylogeny of the animal and that may give a suitable insight into the association? Honestly there is not much point in having an encyclopedia article about a topic if the article fails to give an inteligible basic explanation of the topic.
