Sorry you feel that way, but the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat says (from their website): "Height is measured from sidewalk level outside the main entrance to the architectural top of the building, including spires, but not including antennae, signage or flag poles. This measurement is the most widely utilized and is used to define the rankings of the 100 Tallest Buildings in the World." So, you're not going to find a measurement without spires, and if you do, it won't be appropriate for Wikipedia, since this is based on speculation and not actual, certifiable data.
