Untitled edit

You left out the memorable bit from Saturday Night Live with Presidental son Ron Reagen doing the "Tom Cruise scene" in the White House. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.252.160.226 (talk) 20:43, 30 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

removed from article edit

I removed the following text because it was extremely poorly written, and I couldn't make sense of it enough to fix it. If anyone is familiar with illiteracy, feel free to fix the below section and re-insert it into the article. ~~ Gromreaper(Talk)/(Cont) 14:38, 10 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

TV Usage edit

"Old Time Rock and Roll" also features in ALF, The Nanny, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. In which a butler is singing to a group of other butlers and maids.South Park episode The Wacky Molestation Adventure, in a similar sequence to Risky Business, except with the inclusion of parents being taken away who were accused of molesting their children. Also, there was a memorable sequence on an episode of "Growing Pains" where Jason Seaver and son Mike team up to do a performance of the song. On Thursday 30th November 2006, British soap Eastenders used the song for comic interaction between Minty and Gary in the Archers garage. You Tube

Why is that the "Growing Pains" usage of this song is not included in the main entry where a lot of other movies and TV shows are listed? And I wonder what version of the song (singer, lyrics, etc) is used in "Growing Pains". Can anyone point it out? -BettyJJ (talk) 02:56, 16 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

While it's nice to know that Bob Seger substantially rewrote the original song, I'd kinda like to know who wrote the original. I'm amazed that isn't in the article... anybody know? Shmuel (talk) 03:30, 13 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

did they (the co-wroters) admited that seger rewrote the song? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.208.215.216 (talk) 20:21, 13 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

lolwut edit

Why is there a citation needed after the South Park episode reference? In the reference itself, there is a link to the page on the episode, which states that this reference happens. A couple times, in fact. It's a dark day when Wikipedia doesn't even trust itself anymore. Amedeus (talk) 23:56, 27 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Young Einstein edit

You need to include a reference to the usage of the song in the movie Young Einstein. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096486/soundtrack —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.169.16.180 (talk) 03:11, 14 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

"lol" ? ? ? edit

Why is there an "lol" in the first sentence and what does it mean ? 2600:8800:784:8F00:C23F:D5FF:FEC4:D51D (talk) 03:02, 12 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

So this wasn't an answer song to what people were doing to "Hollywood Nights"? edit

I had heard Olivia Newton-John's version of "Hollywood Nights" and I ASSUMED that "Old Time Rock and Roll" was written as a response to her remake and other people's comments that "Hollywood Nights" had a disco beat. So this isn't an answer song?2600:1700:B9C0:DCA0:57A:4CEF:A478:ABAA (talk) 13:43, 20 January 2023 (UTC) ESReply
