In an attempt to help the reader, 'lead' is linked to Cutoff (steam engine). Unfortunately, however, the word 'lead' does not occur in the Cutoff article. 86.130.154.3 (talk) 21:43, 22 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Yes, that's unfortunate. Cutoff (steam engine) is a very thin article. This is Wikipedia, so you could yourself start writing a better one. The best sources would be:
  • Hills, Richard L. (1989). Power from Steam. Cambridge University Press. ISBN 0-521-45834-X.
  • Semmens, P.W.B.; Goldfinch, A.J. (2003) [2000]. How Steam Locomotives Really Work. Oxford: Oxford University Press. ISBN 978-0-19-860782-3.

Is Piston_valve_(steam_engine)#Lead a useful link here? 81.135.234.159 (talk) 23:59, 1 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
