The Olching entry looks very good, but it might be good to start working on a history section. The German wikipedia entry has a very good and detailed history section...perhaps a translation?

Thanks to Bowzer for translating and adding the history section.

You're welcome. This article is really starting to look good! Bowzer (talk) 22:50, 16 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

===Nice work===

I haven't had the patience, so it's nice that someone else has been taking an interest- I thought it was just me and Ypsilon.

Have a look at the Heilbronn site to see what we could tackle next here with Olching..of course, O. is a fraction of the size of H., but the site has been well reviewed.

Of course thanks to you, too, Graumicchie...this article's come a long way since last year.

Yes, the Heilbronn site looks very good, but isn't the quintessential problem that we're not comparing like with like, i.e. Olching isn't Heilbronn. The history section could be expanded, but I personally don't have the knowledge of a detailed history of Olching. I suppose we could say a bit more about the allied air strike (wasn't Olching mistaken for another town??) and perhaps more recent events like the flooding in 1999 (?).

Another section could be something like 'contemporary culture' or 'cultural activities' or 'cultural institutions' which could include TROJA (see German site) and clubs/pubs and organisations...just a brief mention.

I've made a start on worship/places of worship, I don't wish to get into religion itself -big danger of 'point of view' rows-, but would like to show the buildings as they are always a distinctive part of a community, whichever group is being described. Anybody got pictures of Peter and Paul before they started renovating and/or other chapels, mosques etc. ? If so, into commons with them...Graumicchie (talk) 21:59, 23 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
