Additional English References edit

While the Russian reference is of good quality, I propose to add two references written in English for English speaking users. Cms28-NJITWILL (talk) 07:40, 10 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Ingredients edit

My mom always puts a tablespoon or 2 (depends of the portion) of Dijon Mustard to Okroshka before adding Kvass, that gives it nice spicy flavor. I always thought that mustard is a part of original recipe, but can't find it in the article, so I leave it up to discussion whatever to add it to the article or not...

Please consider.

Sounds like an interesting idea to add a mustard, however I've never seen anybody doing like that. Certainly not a part of the original recipe. Benadin (talk) 01:12, 12 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Spicy greens such as mustard, rocket etc may have been used to add "bite", so adding prepared mustard to the kvass could be seen as continuing that option. Personally I would prefer to use the natural flavour of the veg rather than adding to the liquid but that's me. Anyway, its a shame this can't be said in the article because its OR but on a hot, sticky summer evening, Okroshka is the best supper dish in the world. Mustard is of course an option, but not that uncommon in Russia here. For example, I always add mustard to okroshka but my wife never does. Inego (talk) 01:40, 23 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
