Abuse of citations
editI removed the following fragment, which was added by Kwékwlos (talk · contribs)[1]

The sources cited do not support the statement in question. They refer to an island, not a group of islands. As I discussed in Names of Okinawa, the island group was recognized by modern geographers, not by the native populations. --Nanshu (talk) 08:21, 7 May 2022 (UTC)
