Hi, Christine. I'll be glad to take this review. Initial comments to follow in the next 1-3 days. Thanks as always for these contributions. -- Khazar2 (talk) 00:39, 9 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Oh, as a side note, I'll be mostly on wikibreak from July 12-19 while my stepson is visiting us. We may well have this wrapped up by then, but if not, we'll put things on hold for a bit in the middle. -- Khazar2 (talk) 00:41, 9 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Initial comments edit

This looks like yet another quality submission--well-written, well-researched, and clearly ripe for promotion. I've made a few tweaks as I went; please feel free to revert or further tweak any with which you disagree. Other minor concerns:

  • "Angelou's began, early in her writing career, of alternating the publication" -- this seems to have gotten garbled
  • "perhaps to capitalize on her popularity following her reading of her poem "On the Pulse of Morning" at President Bill Clinton's inauguration in 1993" -- I think this connection needs a source.
  • The "Critical Response" section summarizes some review in past tense ("found") and some in present ("finds"). This should probably be made consistent.

Image tags, comprehensiveness, neutrality, and stability appear fine. I think this is ready to promote when you've had a chance to respond to the above. -- Khazar2 (talk) 01:05, 9 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, Khazar. All the above addressed. Christine (Figureskatingfan) (talk) 16:24, 9 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
That's a pass, then. Thanks as always for your effort! -- Khazar2 (talk) 18:41, 9 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
