What's with the name? edit

I'm not understanding how the title "Odds and Sods" would pop up for an album. Where did it come from? And how does it describe the content? Also, am I correct in my saying Roger Daltrey designed the cover? According to www.thewho.net,it was indeed designed by him, but you never know.

A belated answer, but what the hell: "odds and sods" is an English expression referring to assortment of various things. Like "odds and ends". --Jacj 15:04, 26 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
Since this question was not discussed properly and for the sake of albums continuity, I have changed it to compilation album. In case you differ, please discuss. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Yoursvivek (talkcontribs) 13:25, 3 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
This album consists of fresh material released for the first time in '74 and the later expanded CD and rock encyclopedia's all refer to it as a general release, not a compilation (of previously released material.) 50.111.3.17 (talk) 23:57, 22 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
