Talk:Oath of citizenship

Did anyone else find it interesting that of all the oaths listed, only the U.S. one specifically requests the renouncement of all fidelity and allegiance to any other state? ("[...] that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen"). I have talked to other non-citizens in the United States, and this is a definite problem for many who would otherwise consider becoming American citizens, and thus hold dual citizenship. Oaths for other countries do request faithfulness and "true allegiance" - perhaps this can be considered the same as renouncing allegiance to one's country of origin - but I would hesitate to agree. Sweden originally solved the problem by disallowing dual citizenship. Now the lines have become a bit more blurry.

Can someone add the oath of citizenship for Israel also?
