External links modified
editHello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just modified one external link on Furnace Creek Inn and Ranch Resort. Please take a moment to review my edit. If you have any questions, or need the bot to ignore the links, or the page altogether, please visit this simple FaQ for additional information. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/web/20130104143844/http://wmo.asu.edu:80/world-highest-temperature to http://wmo.asu.edu/world-highest-temperature
When you have finished reviewing my changes, you may follow the instructions on the template below to fix any issues with the URLs.

Name Change (ugh!)
editIf you click on the link for Furnace Creek Resort, you'll see that it redirects to a new site. The name is now "The Oasis at Death Valley". There's a press blurb about the name change at http://www.oasisatdeathvalley.com/press-and-media/furnace-creek-resort-is-now-the-oasis-at-death-valley/ . Furnace Creek Ranch is now The Ranch at Death Valley; Furnace Creek Inn is now The Inn at Death Valley. The golf course name remains the same, but it's not clear what's going to happen to the restaurants, shops and such.
I'm not knowledgable in this area of Wikipedia, but does this mean we need to:
- Rename this article to "Oasis at Death Valley".
- Change the text of the article to reflect the change.
- In other articles, change all references to this page to reflect the name changes.
I'm willing to take a shot at this, but wanted to get feedback before screwing everything up! --Larry/Traveling_Man (talk) 01:32, 9 June 2017 (UTC)
- OK, here goes the move. I'll work on the rest thereafter. --Larry/Traveling_Man (talk) 16:39, 10 June 2017 (UTC).
- Progress logged here:
- Move made.
- Basic article text changed.
- Double redirects fixed.
- Beginning changes to what links here (lots more to do -- will take days!)
- (Done! It wasn't so bad - most links were just based on the Anschutz template. I think I've purged the cache where needed.)
change complete (more or less)
editOK, I've taken a swing at the changes in English Wikipedia. I didn't change other areas, due to lack of experience:
- Commons (picture descriptions; commons category name);
- Wikidata (see https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q5509615 );
- Spanish Wikipedia. --Larry/Traveling_Man (talk) 23:43, 10 June 2017 (UTC)
Water supply
editWhat about the water supply there? I assume that no natural water exists... do they move the water via cars or do they have some pipe system? 2A02:8388:1602:A780:D598:E8F0:E15C:7B9C (talk) 17:21, 27 June 2017 (UTC)
