I'm no expert by any means, but the words nova cançao are Portuguese, so the corresponding country is probably Brazil or Portugal.

Fixed the error. nova canço is a Spanish genre, and nova canção is Portuguese. thanks. Tuf-Kat 21:15, Jun 8, 2005 (UTC)
In castillian Spanish there is no letter ç, and a word ending in o would usually be male, going with a male adjective, while nova would be female, and not a castillian adjective anyway. It would be nueva canción in Spanish, so I think there still is an error. Unless it is gallego. Happily ever after 10:09, 23 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

It's simply nonsense to say she was an example of nueva trova! She sang only with big bands and conjuntos, and was a great opponent of the Castro revolution. Macdonald-ross (talk) 18:24, 6 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
