article on general meaning of 'novelty' missing edit

the disambiguation page states that "Novelty is the quality of being new. Although it may be said to have an objective dimension (e.g. a new style of art coming into being, such as abstract art or impressionism) it essentially exists in the subjective perceptions of individuals." This should form a proper article on the phenomenon of novelty, as well as the statements on subjectivity etc. should be critically reviewed. 134.95.82.88 12:22, 23 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

I agree. It is odd in this disambiguation list that we nowhere direct the reader to the primary sense of Novelty: the subject of "Newness". Newness for example is a redirect to Age. I am not sure that we need a new article. Emergence discusses many aspects of the phenomenon of novelty, although incompletely. Perhaps others might have a better suggestion. -J JMesserly (talk) 18:17, 28 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
