Name of range probably not applicable to US? edit

Although article clearly says Notre Dame Mountains include landforms in New Hampshire and Vermont, the term doesn't seem to be in the USGS names database. I don't know, but am skeptical as to whether the name should, or actually DOES apply to US ranges.

Moreover, the point as presented in the article, is entirely unsourced. The sole given reference takes one to a discussion and series of maps -- which pertain exclusively to Canadian territory.

Probably from a geological standpoint there are sound reasons to include US regions in the general landform in question (??), but geographical "names" are in this instance a purely cultural category.

Also, although N. New England certainly has many French Catholics, the "powers that be" there have traditionally been protestant, suggesting they wouldn't go/have historically gone, for applying an FC-type name. Dunno about that. Just sayin' y'know... Badiacrushed (talk) 17:39, 12 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
