Not a phobia per se edit
Checking of phobia article has disclosed that this is not used as a name for a clinical phobia; it is used rather in a sociological or lit-crit sense to talk about feelings of rejecting the past in favor of the present or future. Mangoe (talk) 22:14, 22 August 2016 (UTC)
Fear of leaving the country edit
Mention a kind of phobia, where the person doesn't want to return to their home country for a visit because they are afraid they will not want to return to their new country after the visit.
They think they're going to get bogged down in their home country and never get around to going back to their new country.
Also their new country might not be so great so they don't really have any force to make them want to return.

Particularly in the case where their island is the entire country. And they are happy to travel around the island but they dare not go beyond it, for the fear that the place that they might go to might be more fun than their current place. Therefore they might not want to return to their current place. So they want to make sure that doesn't happen... Jidanni (talk) 12:46, 28 December 2019 (UTC)
