Renaming article

edit

I've added this to Wikipedia:Requested moves, to have the article renamed to Norwood Airport. Right now, that's a disambig page listing this airport and the one in Norwood, Massachusetts, but the MA airport is actually Norwood Memorial Airport. I think a disambig notice at the top of each airport's article is good enough. David 14:51, 30 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Done the move and fixed all the redirects. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 20:21, 30 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

No Consensus to merge article into Norwood, Ontario

I do not think the airport is notable enough to have it's own article, and the Norwood article is small anyway so a merge may be the best option. Million_Moments (talk) 13:18, 5 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

I disagree. There was an AfD for another airport similar to this and the consensus was that airports are notable enough for thier own articles. CambridgeBayWeather Have a gorilla 02:38, 26 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
While not policy, Wikipedia:Notability_(Transportation)#Airports states "Airports can be notable if they have been discussed in multiple, reliable sources. Commercial airports are likely to be notable." Are the multiple, reliable sources for this article? An AfD for this article might be the best way to determine consensus as to whether this should be merged or retained if further comments are not forthcoming. - DigitalC (talk) 09:55, 16 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Rather than go with an AfD it might be best to let Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Airports#Airport notability proposal run. Under the current proposals there this airport would probably be gone anyway. CambridgeBayWeather Have a gorilla 15:57, 16 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
