Unballanced discussion edit

In the criticism and support sections the weight given to each is disproportionate. Opponents are lumped together and summarised heavily where supporters are each given paragraph long quotes. This gives the impression that support among indigenous Australians outweighs opposition, and that supporters are more coherent speakers. This is definitely not the case and this bias needs to be corrected. Djapa Owen (talk) 01:14, 25 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Missing context in introduction edit

The introduction should make it clearer what NTER is really about. Currently, the first phrase talks about how NTER began (not what it is about) and does not even mention that it has something to do with Australia. While "Northern Territory" may be a hint, I suspect there may be more countries with a northern territory somewhere. The second sentence at least mentions Australia in passing, but then devolves into a long list of individual measures. In my understanding, a summary (not a complete list) of these measures together with the explicit mentioning of the affected country would be an appropriate first sentence; the task force and especially the media release are secondary. Of course, this point of view is shaped by me not being an Australian. I am not a native speaker, so I will not try to reformulate the introduction myself, but maybe my perspective helps in finding a more accessible wording. -- 84.63.126.251 (talk) 08:36, 10 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

I totally agree. Just not sure when I'll find the time to address it. Laterthanyouthink (talk) 09:17, 10 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
I've just done a big reshuffle, attempted to make WP:LEADFOLLOWSBODY and more comprehensible to non-Australians, etc. Laterthanyouthink (talk) 06:19, 21 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
