Attempts to kill this page edit
F**k me drunk! What is it about us (Australian editors) that we want to kill every stub in existence? This page does a job that is not done by States and territories of Australia (i.e. it is a cross border entity) and is not done by Top End. Grant65 | Talk 06:26, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
- At least discuss it at Talk:States and territories of Australia before redirecting. Cheers, Grant65 | Talk 06:31, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
Article could really use a good map! edit
This article could really use a good map. Something that shows the rough geographic extent of Northern Australia, along with clear delineation of where the entirety of Queensland and Northern Territory are, so that the part considered to be Northern Australia would be clear to the casual reader. Where does the definition come from? edit
What source is there for defining "Northern Australia" as Queensland and NT; and WA above 26 degrees south? The definition used by the recent white paper is NT; and Queensland and WA above the Tropic of Capricon (~23 degrees) (see page 1). This makes a big difference for population, land area, etc.
I'm happy to use any definition, but I'd like to see a source.
