Merge of Michael Ljunggren edit

The subject of Michael Ljunggren is classic WP:ONEVENT and does not merit a separate article. Given the context of his life and death, it appears more appropriate to merge him into this article than Bandidos.

Please opine here (support or oppose). Bongomatic 17:12, 27 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • Support (per my own nom). Bongomatic 17:12, 27 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose. Theres no point in merging the Michael Ljunggren page with this one. If you merge these two pages then you may as well merge every motorcycle club member's page with another. WölffReik 17:39, 29 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
Um, that's not a correct inference. The point is that member's whose only notability is minor and derivative from clubs would be merged, not all members. There normal conditions for having a separate article would apply. Bongomatic 01:35, 10 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
So you think that the president of the first club of its kind in a country, who was murdered by rivals, and 14 years on still is mentioned by media when violent crime among organized crime is mentioned has "minor notability"? I disagree, and wonder if you try to make a differentiation in notability based on country or language of the source material? Tomas e (talk) 07:28, 11 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose. The article contains a lot of other biographical information that can not be introduced in this article in a readable way, and which makes very much sense to have. It would have made sense if that article was just a stub saying "M.L. is a Bandidos member who was murdered in the Great Nordic Biker War" or something similar, but this person has more of a story. (I'm sure it could be exapanded upon in the future.) Also, this article is far from just "the murder of M.L.", so there is no simple way in which the background&biography of one of the victims can be given full treatment. Given the number of people involved in this protracted campaign over several countries, I see no way in which all biographical articles of the key protagonists could be merged into this article without significant loss of information or readability, because that would seem to be what the nomination logically would lead to. RfC started to discuss replacing Criminal Org Infobox with Org Infobox edit

Please comment on an RfC to replace Template:Infobox Criminal organization with Template:Infobox Organization for active motorcycle clubs. Thanks! --Dbratland (talk) 20:51, 17 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Choice of picture for anti-tank weapon edit

I do not know the weapon currently depicted in the article, but I do know that it is not the weapon type used in the Titangade attack in Copenhagen, where two were killed. The actual weapon was a Bofors AT 4 - a policeman can be seen removing the spent gun in this article in from a major Danish newspaper: http://www.berlingske.dk/bander/optraek-til-europaeisk-rockerkrig

Drammen Incident 1997 edit

I changed the date of the Drammen incident from April 6th to June 4th. Most other webpages I found have this date. I also checked some norwegian newspapers:

http://www.dagbladet.no/2008/12/03/nyheter/drammen/bombe/3915394/

http://www.nrk.no/nyheter/1.505124

Both speak of a Date in June. BTW: Impressing photos. I suppose somebody messed 4/6 with 6/4 --Kallewirsch (talk) 04:19, 10 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned references in Nordic Biker War edit

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Nordic Biker War's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
