Untitled edit

IMDB shows an extensive filmography with 168 entries going back to 1967 (she would have been about 14 at the time). Any one know what her significant roles were? RJFJR 01:55, 22 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

The movie that got her the most international acclaim was "The Flor Contemplacion Story" (got the most awards too IIRC), but in the Phils she thrived on a long series of "love-team" movies in the 70's that were more popular there. I'll ask some Noranians. Jyster 10:52, 24 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Sing edit

A reference was recently added to the song Sing. I need to disambig this reference. Is this the Sesamee Street/Carpenters version at Sing (song), or some other version? Thanks. Simon12 01:07, 4 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:39f0-1-.jpg edit

Image:39f0-1-.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

POV tag edit

This concerns POV tag cleanup. Whenever an POV tag is placed, it is necessary to also post a message in the discussion section stating clearly why it is thought the article does not comply with POV guidelines, and suggestions for how to improve it. This permits discussion and consensus among editors. From WP tag policy: Drive-by tagging is strongly discouraged. The editor who adds the tag must address the issues on the talk page, pointing to specific issues that are actionable within the content policies, namely Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, Wikipedia:Verifiability, Wikipedia:No original research and Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons. Simply being of the opinion that a page is not neutral is not sufficient to justify the addition of the tag. Tags should be added as a last resort. Better yet, edit the topic yourself with the improvements. This statement is not a judgement of content, it is only a cleanup of frivolously and/or arbitrarily placed tags. No discussion, no tag.Jjdon (talk) 00:09, 1 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Article cleanup edit

Wikipedia articles about living persons are governed by the strict requirements of the BLP policy, which insists that article content be properly referenced and neutrally written. I have therefore removed the bulk of the article, which was written in a highly promotional, subjective tone, and which lacked virtually any references to sources which meet Wikipedia's reliability standards. Editors are encouraged to restore appropriate content to the article, but only in properly written form, cited to genuinely reliable sources. Particular attention must be paid to avoiding the use of self-published, fan-created sources. Thank you. Hullaballoo Wolfowitz (talk) 21:48, 7 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Tagging: lead too long, copyediting, and more edit

I just spent a couple of hours reducing the number of OVERLINKs in this article. As I went, I noticed a lot of laudatory language (award-winning, etc), a few problems with English (some of which I fixed), a lot of what I would have to call "name dropping" (for instance, "along with X, Y, Z" where it may not have been noteworthy to include those names at that point in the article). I also pulled a fake "Died" param from the infobox.

It's clear that Aunor is much loved and much honored. Can some of the content be moved to separate articles such as her discography, filmography, and list of awards. The reason those separate pages was created was presumably to enable us to reduce the size of this article so that it need not be such an exhaustive list of Aunor's accomplishments. I know, SOFIXIT applies here, but I'm not going to do anything more right now. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 18:52, 13 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
