Dominant Function edit
When I came to this page I was surprised to find that it erroneously listed the augmented seventh chord as a non-dominant seventh. In traditional harmony, the augmented seventh chord is indeed a chord with dominant function and almost always functions just like a regular old V7. Either this was just a mistake or whoever made that original edit didn't know better. I see Hyacinth reverted it, but since there was there was no citation or explanation, I fixed it reverting it back. For any skeptics out there I submit as my source:
Yeah edit
Man, every "music theory" article on Wikipedia is written like instructions for building a space ship. Then I click on the MIDI samples and they sound like people who don't know how to actually play music. Makes sense. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:201:8000:BB3C:21DA:4AA0:E596:425D (talk) 03:56, 24 April 2017 (UTC)
