Proposal for split-off article "2004 Turkish coup d'état attempt allegation" edit

An anonymous IP editor has proposed to split off an article 2004 Turkish coup d'état attempt allegation. (Shouldn't that be a plural: 2004 Turkish coup d'état attempt allegations? Also, as far as I'm aware only alleged plans have been drawn up but no actual attempts have been made, so perhaps 2004 Turkish coup d'état planning allegations?)

But how much can we actually say about these allegations? While the current events concerning the alleged coup plans Kafes ("Cage") and Balyoz ("Sledgehammer"), actually from 2003, are in my opinion certainly important enough to warrant an article, it is not clear to me what the relation is with the coup plans named Sarıkız, Ayışığı and Eldiven that are mentioned here, so it is not immediately clear to me that splitting is the right thing to do. And, in any case, the present article is not unmanageably long.  --Lambiam 21:33, 22 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Followup. We do have articles "Sledgehammer" plot and Cage Operation Action Plan now.  --Lambiam 22:16, 12 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
