Why was the filmography removed from this?

Is there a reason why it's no longer included? JamieH 15:45, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

Bob Skeleton

The link 'BOB Skeleton' Leads to 'skeleton' racing'. This needs to be changed

The internal link leads to Skeleton (sport) because that is what the question in The Big Fat Quiz of the Year 2006 was referring to when Jonathan Ross made the joke, referring to Fielding as "Bob Skeleton". Daisy-berkowitz 14:54, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

Edinburgh?

I know i'm posting alot of questions on this discussion but you wiki people keep me going! Anyway does anyone know if noel or any members of the mighty boosh are gonna be at the Edinburgh festival? I'd be glad of any info. Thanks :) xxxGeorgiana1234 18:16, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

Monkey Genius

He is one too! The my space profile may need to be checked. There are some fake profiles going around.

Profanity :
I think the myspace is real, due to it being listed in the top 10 friends of robots in discuise?
How do u know it's RID's real myspace? 19:42, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

I doubt the myspace is real as he talks about not being able to use a computer —Preceding unsigned comment added by PieAndMashUp (talkcontribs) 19:13, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

There are photos of him walking down a street with a laptop in hand...

Mowgli in Flares

Should it be mentioned that this is a possible reference to either the novella or the song Venus in Flares?

Can someone change the link from Robots_In_Disguise to Robots_in_Disguise (a lower case i) in the last section? It now points to the Transformers instead of the music band —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.125.101.92 (talk) 17:46, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

Amy Winehouse and Noel Fielding?

I found a video on youtube featuring Noel Fielding and Amy Winehouse, with a third person. Does anyone know if they are friends? I'm not sure, since he said himself he was avoiding her while he was on holiday. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hoolamish (talkcontribs) 18:48, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

Tourette syndrome

Noel suffers from Tourette syndrome, isnt this worth a mention in the article?

Cite a source, then add it. IolakanaT 19:54, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

Thats blatantly not true.

He doesn't!! its some other Noel guy...he was on some program and i was horrified but when the Noel guy came up i was relieved to find out it was someone else...

Noel Edmunds? He's a bit weird... easily weird enough to fulfill tourette criteria. Why else would that bloke have died on his show?

What? No, that was Micheal Barrymore. Someone drowned in his pool during a party at his house. And neither him, nor Noel Edmunds have tourettes. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.240.252.205 (talk) 20:45, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
Dermot in fact obviously got a bit mixed up - the stand up comedian who was interviewed on Big Brother's Big Brain who has actually got tourettes was Noel Faulkner, not Noel Fielding. ITS FOR SURE! NOEL FIELDING DOES NOT HAVE TOURETTES —Preceding unsigned comment added by 211.31.225.164 (talk) 12:44, 21 June 2008 (UTC)

Fake awards

as well as the mention of the Douglas Adams award (if the Boosh article can note that this was manufactured, why can't Barratt and Fielding's articles?) i noticed that the NME award for best backing vocals has never existed. it was originally listed as the 2006 one too, which of course came years after that Midfield General song. why must Boosh fans constantly invent fake awards? it's as if they're insecure their heroes can't win any real ones

I don't think he and dee have split up at least i hope not, and i don't believe all this stuff about him and pixie geldof just cos there was a couple of pictures of him and her don't mean theres any more to it, its hard to know what to believe, like the time he was "seen" in LA getting it on with courtney love! ==Personal Life== Is it true that Dee and Noel have an open relationship. Noel dates many people?

Nah, he and Dee have a proper relationship going. Daisy-berkowitz 22:42, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
Why does this bit keep changing? Is he living with Dee or not?
Mental Boosh fans keep taking out the bit about Dee, perhaps in an odd attempt to make it seem untrue to them. Or something along those lines, anyway. Daisy-berkowitz 22:57, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

Now it says that he is living with a girl called Emily Jones..?! what??

[Noel and Dee were both at NME awards 2008, and she's in loads of The Mighty Boosh Series 3, which was filmed in the latter half of 2007. They seem rock solid to me :)] —Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.128.151.241 (talk) 16:32, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

this week Noel Fielding and Pixie Geldoff (Bob Geldoff's 16 year old biological second daughter) was seen and recored hanging out and getting touchy friendly on several nights out; its said they are dating, but plans to meet daddy are being made!!! the snapshots of the two on one night out, were of Pixie & noel together in the street, then Pixie hiding under a tatty blanket; but with her head pocking out!?... then a snapshot was taken of her 'child rate train ticket!' my evidence of photos and phrases are in: Star Magazine (30th April 2007); pages 26-27. 16:45 pm Sunday. Chazfan

Yea if you check out dee's bebo page it says that her and noel broke up some time ago. Very sad! Sandra

I'm sure Dee Plume's bebo page is legit. Daisy-berkowitz 15:57, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

I might be wrong, but an article in a tabloid newspaper's website which cites their source as "a source" MAY not be the most reliable source of the truth. Daisy-berkowitz 18:30, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

In a recent interview with Noel Fielding on Russell Brand's Radio 2 Show he expresses that 'his girlfriend from Robots In Disguise' is with his brother at a festival. This live interview took place on Saturday 26th May 2007, out-dating any comments made by the media. I think this ends any confusion about this as I'm sure Noel knows who he's going out with. Oh and, P.S, almost all bebo pages on musicians etc. are fake. Oh and this http://www.metro.co.uk/fame/article.html?in_article_id=52440&in_page_id=7

Apparently, Noel and Dee have a "very open relationship." I totally forget my sources, and I'm not sure how reliable they are, either... Blahhhhhrgh (talk) 01:47, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

Noel suffers from Gilberts Syndrome

I was reading NME and it stated that Noel suffered from Gilberts Syndrome. Please Edit This In!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.17.163.157 (talk) 15:30, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

IIRC it's Michael Fielding that suffers from the disorder; I vaguely remember it being mentioned in one of the DVD commentaries. I could well be wrong and please feel free to provide any verifiable sources to support your addition. Al.locke (talk) 23:57, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Actually, both Noel and Mike suffer from the disease. I'm not sure, but most people seem to believe that Mike has a more severe case, but they both definately suffer from it and I think it's worth a mention. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.137.206.189 (talk) 10:11, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

Batty boy?!

Near the beginning of the article it reads "He is somewhat of a batty boy, largely popular with most of the other characters". The term 'batty boy' may be offensive. It is certainly colloquial and has no relevance to the content of the article and should be removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.32.126.14 (talkcontribs) 14:57, 22 March 2008

Television: Transmission

Marianne de Brito kissed Noel Feilding at Transmission 2008, which is definitely true and furthermore of undisputable interest to the general public.

Dyslexic Too?

Poor old Noel; Gilbert's, Acromegaly, Tourette's...and now this! Only joking, not meant to sound snide. Only people, please, please cite your references!! I can believe that he is, as he says several times that he 'can't spell', but without a cited reference, this can't be put down. Also, 'known to be' is subjective, so watch the wording. Thanks guys. Catherinespark (talk) 22:37, 27 November 2008 (UTC)

Proposed...?

I've deleted the line about him having proposed to one "Leah Whyman" after "spending a month dating"... it SAYS he lives with his girlfriend of eight years, so why would he propose to someone else? On top of that, the comment was unsourced. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.100.202.245 (talk) 03:41, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

I don't think he is 21 years old

he has been on the show since 1998. right? so that will make him like 10 years old. that dose not seem right. he must be at lest in his late 20s. one he dose not look 21 and that will make him 10 to years old performing with a 30 year old man. that seams sick. ans he was bout 15-16 when the series first started. that dose not seam right. dose it? pinkcat1992 03:59, 13 may 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.150.37.242 (talk)

He's not 21, no. He's in his 30's.

"Facts" about his personal life have to be sourced properly

Since this is the Biography of a living person, details about Noel Fielding's personal life must be sourced properly. Also, not everything that happens in somebody's life is of encyclopaedic importance - whether he dates Dee Plume or Pixie Geldof or anyone else is certainly not.--Six words (talk) 21:30, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

Noel namedrop

NOEL FEILDING IS MARRIED TO CHARSA ALLEN!!Good grief, is there are any article on Wikipedia which namedrops celebrity and overhypes a sound but relatively modest career more than this one? If Noel Fielding farted at a Robert Smith gig it would be cited in his entry. "Robert Smith appeared to wrinkle his nose when Noel became over-excited during 'The Cure's' 1992 tour." In ten years time Fielding will probably be playing in a Gary Glitter tribute band at Butlins, and he will be compelled to trudge through the rest of his life with all of these vainglorious Wikipedia boasts - not neccessarily authored by himself - clunking in his wake like Jacob Marley's chains. Like Boy George and Adam Ant, he risks falling foul of his own early achievements.

I was unable to find any source that reports Charsa Allen marrying Noel Fielding, thus I removed it. If this actually true and you can source an article please do so and reinstate the information accepting my humblest apology. In other news, most of the time information in an article is presented in lowercase, all uppercase sentences are not good form. Cpuwhiz11 (talk) 18:44, 11 September 2009 (UTC)

Self-proclaimed?

" His character, self-proclaimed "King of the Mods", "Goth Fairy", "Electro Ponce", "Shoreditch Vampire" and "Camden Leisure Pirate" "

Am i rite in thinking barrat's character calls him an electro ponce and a camden leisure pirate on th live show, hence not 'self proclaimed? Pledger166 19:42, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

No, because Noel co-writes the show Jack3White (talk) 21:10, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

Actually, it does not count as self proclaimed if the character himself didn't say it, even if Noel wrote it. --92.16.202.191 (talk) 16:50, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

Even if the character said it, it would only apply to the character. He would have to have said it out of character for it to apply to him. eyeball226 (talk) 19:00, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

Julian Barrett called Vince Noir an electro puff in the live show — Preceding unsigned comment added by Daisyobrien (talkcontribs) 17:06, 20 January 2011 (UTC)

Noel's nephew

In the article it says noel's nephew plays kirk and I've checked it and it's right but does this mean micheal has a son or that noel has other siblings? It doesn't say micheal has a son on his page but does anyone have an answer to this mystery?Georgiana1234 16:32, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

I believe Noel has a sister. Daisy-berkowitz 00:53, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
Really? He never talks about her, shouldn't she be mentioned on his page?Georgiana1234 19:38, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
Well, when we know for certain that she exists and we know her name, we could add in a little bit of info on her in the early life section. Daisy-berkowitz 20:16, 22 April 2007 (UTC)

Also whether or not it's cousin or nephew is debatable, hence the constant changes. The confusion arises from the fact that Noel says one thing in the audio commentary and one thing in the making of series 2. Not sure which way round, haven't got the DVD to hand. It'd be nice to have a definite answer from somewhere? The Rock And Roll Pirate 20:45, 22 April 2007 (UTC)

It is possible that Noel made it up jokingly (to in-keep with the fact that other people in that scene are related to him and Jullian(if that itself is true)) and then tried to be consistent with his joke but forgot what he said.
Nah, he sounds pretty genuine about it. Daisy-berkowitz 13:39, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

The person who plays Kirk is Kirk Gaitskell-Kendrick, which almost confirms that he's related to Dee Plume in some way (As her birth name is Delia Gaitskell.) Seeing as they've been going out for a while, it could simply be one of those situations where you're so close to a family you become Aunt or Uncle to the children in the family without actually being related. As for Noel and Mike having a sister, this is the only time I've heard it said. Titaniapixie (talk) 23:41, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

In the DVD episode commentry of the Mighty Boosh episode 'Eels' (series three), Noel states very clearly that the little boy playing Kirk is his nephew. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.215.149.98 (talk) 11:13, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

I heard that he's Dee Plume's (Noel Fielding's ex) nephew. In the extras on The Mighty Boosh DVD it says that it's his nephew but that's not true. People mighty think "how could you possibly know more than the DVD!" but it also says that some bloke is Julian's girlfriend :D so i'm guessing it's not all solid information lol Hope I helped in some way x. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Daisyobrien (talkcontribs) 17:13, 20 January 2011 (UTC)

Vegetarian?

Whoever added that comment, please cite your sources and it will be added. Noel is not a vegetarian as far as I am aware. Supervegan 21:34, 10 November 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.138.107.69 (talk)

Yeah, I've actually seen him eat meat (he ate turkey in a Big Fat Quiz of the Year show). Plus on panel shows whenever they did get an actual vegetarian/vegan and he was on, he'd make no mention of him being a vegetarian as well. Most likely it's just someone taking lone of his jokes seriously. Anyway, it's no longer in the article, but I just thought I'd mention it in case some decides to add it again. Actually, he might have been a vegetarian before, but might not be any more. Hard to tell. Brc2000 (talk) 18:56, 4 January 2014 (UTC)
