Yeah, the information that was here was wrong. Making a correct page probably would have to be done as part of a comprehensive exposition on geometric optics, though. I can't see explaining nodal points without explaining the principal planes, for example. Maybe a page on image formation in geometric optics is needed. --Srleffler 06:21, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
A page on image formation would be nice. I found my way to this page in the first place because I was trying to explain to someone else why a diaphragm shutter does not leave the center more overexposed than the periphery of a photo. I was having a tough time figuring out how to get across the message that light passing through the center of the diaphragm is evenly distributed over the entire frame, not focused in the center. It seems there's nowhere on wikipedia that explains this as such...any ideas where would be a good place to put this? --Severoon 10:07, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
