Wackett Trainer

edit

Not sure if it is an Aussie thing but why is the Wackett refered to as the "Wackett Trainer" in the article (which doesnt appear to be an official name) but uses "Tiger Moth" rather than "Tiger Moth Trainer" ? MilborneOne (talk) 16:13, 22 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

"Wackett Trainer" and "Tiger Moth" (w/o "Trainer") is the terminology in the RAAF Historical Section's Units of the Royal Australian Air Force, which is the main source for the article. Cheers, Ian Rose (talk) 23:04, 22 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, perhaps it should be made clearer in the CAC Wackett article what the official v common name actually was as both articles cant make there mind up what to use. If "Wackett Trainer" is a colloquialism then it should be explained somewhere and one or other should be used consistently. MilborneOne (talk) 10:14, 23 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
